This is how Benjamin spends alot of his day.

When it comes time for me to have lunch, something very simple is required, and this is my favourite. I can just manage to put this together with a baby perched on my shoulder.

Of course I don't mind, especially when he wakes up and flashes me one of these. xxx

Farmers Market

We finally made it to our local Farmer's Market on Saturday morning.

The kids and I wandered around tasting, buying, and chatting to various stallholders.

I love that Matt, Sarah and Jonty love food as much as I do. They tried duck, goats cheese, chocolate and zucchini brownies, balsamic vinegars, homemade marshmallows, and we had delicious organic bacon and egg rolls for brekky.

(Choc caramel, coconut, choc mint and plain chocolate cupcakes)

We also couldn't go past these cupcakes, but had to save them to eat at home later because we were so full (and on our way to basketball). YUM!!

And we still have our own little farm happening here. That pumpkin vine has been trimmed finally so our chookies can see the sun again.

I am tempted to start this post by saying, "There is not much happening here at the moment...", and lament the fact that with a new baby, I am not getting anything done.

Well I am not getting any crafting, gourmet cooking, or much housework beyond basic cooking and washing done, but there is plenty of this going on.

I am spending hours every day just holding Benjamin, feeding, talking, singing and smiling at him.

He is a delight and has forced me to just be in the moment and enjoy him.

I made this extremely fast, easy and yummy Birthday Cake for Sarah last weekend.

Take the ice-cream out of the freezer and let it soften.

Bash up the Tim tams and Crunchie Bar.

Fold through the softened ice-cream and refreeze for a few hours in a cake tin.

Delicious! (and also very sickly sweet so you had better not give your visitors too much or they may get a tummyache)

Babies galore.

Earlier in the week I met up with my cyber mother's group. I have never done anything like that before, and walking up to a group of women you have never met (IRL) is quite terrifying.

But, it was a great morning. We chatted, ate lots of yummy food and commiserated about lack of sleep and being covered in baby spew/poo. Hopefully we will do it again sometime.

Can you spot Benjamin?

Weekend away.

We have just returned home from a weekend conference in Wollongong. We partners were particularly spoilt with complimentary massages and facials, while the company staff were cooped up in their conference room.

Of course Benjamin came with us. He was passed around all weekend and now smells like a combination of about a million different ladies' perfumes, probably a few men's aftershaves in there as well. We had a live band at dinner last night and he even got to have a boogie on the dance floor.

Dave has been organsing this conference for months, so he should be feeling quite a bit more relaxed now, in fact he is asleep upstairs as I type this.
Maybe he will even have time now to tackle the pumpkin vine that is taking over the backyard...

Couldn't post without adding a few photos of the boy for Nana Jan and Aunty Lisa.

The Loch Ness Monster smile.

We have finally managed to capture a smile on camera!!
