I am getting bigger.

Wow! I am almost 6 weeks old already. Time flies when you have 5 big people doting on you.

I am keeping them on their toes, catnapping through the day. I do let them get some sleep at night though so they are not too cranky.

Mum even helps me out in the wind department when things get a bit stuck....

I have started rewarding all their efforts with big smiles and cute noises.

I can sleep anywhere and love a noisy house, especially the sound of my brothers fighting. Bliss.

Love Benjamin xxx

Handmade help.

My heart goes out to all those affected by the terrible bushfires in VIC. What a tragedy for those who have lost friends, family, houses, schools, animals...

The Aussie crafting community is getting busy making, selling and sending things to help.

Rach from grandy and baa is looking for others to join with her in making kids/babies clothes, softies, blankets, bibs, hats etc... to send down to the kids. Check out her blog to see how you could help.

Also see the Handmade Help website for other ways you could help out, or bid on the great stuff they have up for auction.

Life around here is pretty busy.

I can't stop thinking, "I am a mum of FOUR!". How did that happen? (No need to explain, I do know how it happened, and 'Yes', we do own a TV.)

Benjamin continues to delight us all. He is at that almost smiling stage, and we can't help laughing at all the funny faces he pulls, and the cute way he goes cross-eyed trying to focus on our faces.

He can be quite restless during the day, but sleeps beautifully at night so I can't complain too much. He also copes really well being in and out of the car so much with school drop offs, pick ups and after school activities. The life of a 4th child.

Finally...

...Benjamin is letting us see what his eyes look like.

At 11 days old he is starting to keep them open for longer than a few minutes.

He loves his evening bath, usually given to him by Daddy and Big Sister.

ooh pretty...

My babyhawk arrived yesterday. Isn't it pretty. I love the colour and the fabric.

Benjamin was quite content in it this afternoon, helping his Dad to pick some veggies for dinner.

At 6 ft 6, 'Babybjorns' and other similar carriers are just too small for Dave, but the Babyhawk is adjustable to fit both Dave and I perfectly, and it is a whole lot funkier!!!.

Settling in...

Benjamin is now 9 days old. He is such a darling and we all adore him.

He sleeps through the noise and chaos like only a 4th child can, and is never without a sibling who wants to hold him.

He squeaks more than he cries, and is feeding like a pro.

If he keeps this up, we may start wanting #5.

He has arrived!!!

Benjamin Robert arrived on Sunday night at 7.30pm.

He weighed in at 9 pound 9!!, which was a surprise to everyone because I looked small compared with previous pregnancies. He was 54 cm lomg, so tall like his Daddy.

We came home yesterday and have settled in well. The kids adore him and he is getting lots of cuddles.
Mum is already deciding on fabrics for a quilt.....
